Airsoft bb guns

Hmm... NOPE AGAIN! Air Soft war in the house is alot more fun. It cuts down on wind catching the plastic BB and hurling it in unintended directions. Anyways, the point of the thread wasn't to suggest BB guns. He wanted to know what to look for in an Air Soft gun, so I told him.

Good for you.
My buddy bought a MP5 automatic Airsoft gun. He liked it for about a week. Untill he bought a High powered BB gun to play with.

It was a battery powered rifle.

If you want something really fun, quit dicking around with BB guns. When I get bored with Air Soft and BB guns I just go shoot skeet with my neighbor. I'm not half bad, but I just go to play with shotguns. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

But can you shoot a BB gun in a house? NOPE! It's fun to have battles with the Air Soft stuff. The only way you can really hurt someone is a good eye shot.
Uhh, what kinda cheap airsoft are you using? The little electric pistols? Those are toys not airsoft markers. Real markers will put big dents in sheetrock, not for in the house.

Anyways, if you are looking to get into skirmishing, the ONLY way to go is an AEG, or "electric airsoft gun" which shoot in semi or full auto (some do burst fire aswell). My recomendation is to stick with Tokyo Marui as far as brands go, after that, get whatever gun you like the looks of best, the range of a TM MP5 compared to a TM M16 is going to be neglible. Expect to spend around $300 for the gun, battery(s), charger/discharger and BBs. For skirmishing, you will also want a few extra mags. If you are just looking to plink around, maybe some small skirmishing with friends, you could just go with a gas pistol. They are cheaper compared to an AEG and run on gas contained in the magazine. Some models called "blowbacks" will look EXACTLY like a real pistol with the slider sliding back on every shot, they usually are just semi-auto, some you can easily convert to full auto tho //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif If you are just looking to piss off squirrels, a spring pistol will be very cheap and still have lots of power, but you have to recock it after every shot so its not for skirmishing... Those electric pistols are very weak and really only for novelty or, apparently, for shooting around the house //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well thats stupid... Airsoft is a sport like paintball, just ALOT more realistic since you can put a BB in a foot diameter 75 yards away with no adjustment, easily get well over 100yards with slight adjustment. A BB gun is for killing small game and target shooting, more or less like a real, tho low powered, gun. They arent even close to the same category.

Oooo! Ahhh! All hail the AirSoft Master! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I think I made it pretty clear what I was using. The second post mentioned getting one of the electronic pistols with the blowback action. The dude said he was buying it for fun. I think it's fun to shoot stuff in my room.

I think I can handle the $10 loss that I took by buying the pistol and a bottle of BB's. I'm pretty sure you can tell by the initial post and lack of any further interest, not to mention the fact that he posted in a car audio forum, that the kid isn't looking to buy $300 of Airsoft gear to go out and play in a tournament. If I gave a shit about toys like these I might go spend money on it, but like I said, when I get bored shooting lamps in my room I go use real guns, not toys. If he wants to have fun with them without spending alot of money, go buy a cheap pistol and shoot at your friends. If you want to injure your friends, go buy a "real" Airsoft gun, or a BB gun and start firing away!
