Air Bubbles?

So me and my friend started working on a box in my trunk. Due to it being in the trunk the first two layers had some bad air bubbles. I let it dry over the week and did my best to sand them out today. I switched to cloth today (from mat) because it seems easier to work with. I was just wondering if the air bubbles are going to cause a problem? I'm planning to do 6-7 layers.

try soaking the top and botom (both sides) of the pice of cloth/mat before you lay it

dont just put a pice down and brush over it, the whole pice needs to be soaked.

to pervent air pockets.

Here's how i'm doing it. I paint the box and then put the cloth or mat down. I then paint the cloth/mat by stabbing at it with my brush. My 1st layer was bad and it messed everything up. Maybe one day when I have the patience I'll redo it.
