aeros thru ski hole?

so, ive always noticed my wrx is kinda a pain in the *** to make loud and i was thinking of maybe doing 2 12's, and having 1 or 2 aeros and having them come thru the ski hole (why my seats dont fold down is beyond me) usually does this result in higher numbers?

should i have the subs facing the back of the car or towards the cabin?

and finally. suggestions on 2 subs that can handle a total of about like 3300 watts and only take like 3.2 feet after displacement? that is 3.2 feet for the pair of subs to share

We are in the same boat, Im working on the same issue with having aero's come through the rear speaker holes.

I decided on doing a bandpass with the aero's since I wasnt sure if there would be timing issues if only the port off a ported box went through the holes.

Id say going with 2 beefy 10s, maybe dd 9510s or 3510s, aq hdc3 10, something like that.

im not opposed to having 2 10's again, i was only running my kicker amp at 2 ohms. i wanna try it at 1 ohm, but i doubt ixls would take that much power

Possibly some inspiration, he used to get on the forums but I dont think he has been on in awhile

SHizNiLTi is his name on here.

okay so ive been doing some thinking about all this and it hit me. i already have a pretty nice sub, so why dont i experiment with that instead of ditching it and buying new subs.

so imma build a new box, its gonna be 2.2 ft and i think ill do 35 hz. what kinda size/number of aeros should i do? ive never built a box with aeros.

if i like it, i might just buy another omega, and try to cram them in a box thats like 3.2 ft. that will also drop my amp down to 1 ohm and im sure those subs will take the beating.

If you do decide to go with 2-12s let me know. I'm selling my LV4s because I bought some XLs. They only need 1.5 cubes each for daily according to the specs.

oh, i was looking into those subs actually. what impedence are they? i think id kill em if i ran my amp at 1 ohm..if it puts out the nearly 3500 watts ive been told it will put out.

They're d1. I have them in 2.2 each which is larger than recommended and they only get hot/stinky if I beat on them real hard for a few songs in a row. They'll definitely take more power in a smaller box. They have LV5 coils by the way, forgot to say that.

Do a nice 4th order, works perfect for ski-blowthroughs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
