aeroports length

To figure out length on aeroports how much of the flared part do you count for your true length. These have about 1.5 inches of flare on each end should that count for the length?

i've heard the flare doesn't count as 'actual' port, but rather helps the air exit better. but i guess arguably, this is part of the port then. not sure though, ill let someone else chime in.

yeah the flare does not count toward port length

I thought I read on the you just extend the port 1". ex. you need 15" port, you make the aero 16"?
