Hey Guys im relativly new at this so any help is greatly appreciated Anyway i was thinking of a combo like a single Kicker S18x and Hifonic goliath xx i dont have a head unit yet but im looking any suggestions??? Any help would be great im jus looking to blow my friends out of the watter my friend works at a audio place and can get stuff at discount and hes hooking me up any advice???

If this is your first system, and you don't know much about it, I'd advise that you not start with those. If you don't know what you're doing, you will inevitably mess up your car and/or your system.

if you are going to run higher end stuff, get a HU first... if you are looking to save money, then lower your standards.

im assuming that the s18x is the solo-x 18"? i wouldnt recomend that as a daily sub... it needs a large box, alot of power, and its still not going to sound good...

It is however, refreshing to see someone with one post ask about a solo x 18 and hifonics xx goliath. Most people show up asking about a Sony h/u or thinking that thier Coustic subs are good. I am a guilty party. At one time I thought RF P3s were loud.
