I am planning out a system for my ‘04 Ram 1500 with the Infinity 7-speaker system. I havnt bought anything yet but I already have a 10in sub from my last car. My current plan is a head unit and a separate DSP/amp unit. Stock system: 2x 3.5” dashboard speakers 2x 6x9” front door speakers 2x 5.25” rear door speakers 1x 2.5” center dashboard speaker New system: 2x new 3.5” dashboard speakers 2x new 5.25” front door speakers 2x new 6.5” rear door speakers 10” rear seat subwoofer ?? 2.5” center dash at all ?? I know 5.25s fit in the front and 6.5s fit in the rear. I did this to try and get more high frequencies in the front because I know I’ll have more than enough bass from the sub and 6.5s. Will the two 3.5s in the dash be enough to carry the tweeter’s job? The smallest diameter stock is the single 2.5 in the center, this seems odd to me there’s no smaller speaker for a tweeter. I thought about getting rid of it and letting the other 6 speakers do the work because I’m lost in what to do about the center speaker. How should I wire a center speaker if my DSP/amp only does left and right? I looked at the factory wiring diagram and there was a wire for the “center” speaker, how would this work since almost every audio file is only left/right? Thanks in advance for any help!
