Advantages / Disadvantages of an in cabin bandpass?

After Days and hours of researching what I want to do with my maxima I'm very interested in doing a bandpass in my trunk with a port coming through my rear deck. I don't know much about them except for the names of: 4th Order and 6th Order.

For my car, I want a "show" type install similar to "SKEP" who is the owner of this beautiful maxima I'm going to use for an example. Here his a link to his cardomain with photos of what I'm talking about.

Also here are a couple videos:

So, I'm asking what are the advantages and disadvantages of bandpasses? Also what subs are ideal for these types of installs? I would like to run 1000+ watts to the woofer. I know these will vary with different vehicles I'm just asking in general anyone here have a setup like this? Would you do it why? Or why not?

Bandpass enclosures are extremely efficient, and they display the least amount of distortion of any enclosure type (because the speaker is buried inside the box where motor noise and distortion are inaudible).

Their disadvantages are the large enclosure size and complexity, and the fact that a BP design tends to narrow the useable frequency range the sub system will play. This is not always the case, nor is it necessarily a bad thing.

The efficiency of the BP system can be a detriment also. If you are trying to keep your system 'musical', having a substage that is grossly more efficient than your front stage will lead to a lop-sided sounding system. As with any enclosure type, its output and freq range needs to be paired with the front stage of your system, and more specifically, the midbass setup.

Many of the negative aspects that are attributed to a bandpass enclosure are solely due to the widespread use of pre-manufactured bandpass enclosures. BP boxes need to be designed and built very specifically to the speaker being used in it, otherwise it will likely end up with such a narrow pass band that it will be the notorious bandpass one-note-wonder everyone hates. So that's basically the final major disadvantage of a BP enclosure, the fact that it pretty much must be designed custom, pre-fab doesn't work usually.

Group delay can be another disadvantage in bandpass systems, especially the higher order systems or bandpass designs with higher tuning frequencies.

The low distortion from the bandpass can also be a bad thing as it could lead to damaged equipment if you're not careful with the mechanical limits of the driver.

Bandpass enclosures can also be very parameter selective. If the parameters are off from the manufacturer, the bandpass design will suffer more than if it were in a sealed enclosure or a ported enclosure.
