I'd just like to point out that I had 6 boxes to build and the hurricane completely depleted my supply of MDF (why in hell would you use MDF to board up windows, only god knows that one). I could have profited a LOT OF ****ING MONEY AND NOW I CANT GOD DAMMIT NOW IM BROKE THOSE ******* SONS OF *****ES.

short term economics...

if you really want to get mad, start asking the questions like, "why are we exporting all of our building supplies to China to help them build, and drive the prices of construction material up at home?"

everything's been going up in price over the last few years...and with the Canadians stopping their export of CCA treated lumber over here, that causes the market to go up as well...

This is the exact reason I am soo happy. When my grandmother died she left me 1000acres of timberland. Well 500acres My bro got half of it. Got to love grandparets!!! Got a new truck and system with the money.

Yeah, but too bad 2/3 or more of the worlds, yes, the worlds lumber comes from Canada.....

As far as America exporting most of its goods, well it may be the richest nation, but the smartest?? That is questionable...

At least in B.C. the logging technology and practices now are at a state where most of the forest is re-grown..

And the US government still charges tarrifs on Canadian softwood lumber, which by the way was condemned by the World Trade Organization and is a violation of the free trade agreement......

At least you don't get covered in foot after foot of snow and have to make snow shovels out of your mdf because the stores are all sold out. I can only imagine the BS that you guys have to put up with when things like this happen. Hope you didn't get nailed to hard.

You guys must have me wrong, there is no wood left at home depot or lowes. I always keep my supply of extra wood tied down together in my garage.
