what is this and why can't i hear any difference between 1 and 2 .

The deck is a clarion dxz845mp. Also whats wierd with this system i have a dpx1000.2 clarion amp also with the system. Sometimes it sounds like the bass isn't all there, so i play around , and if i bump the sub volume or the gain on the deck, boom it all comes back, is this a deck problem, or is there some learning circuit in the amp like clarion says???? How do i get around this??

if anyone knows

the Q is the bandwidth affected by the adjustment of boost/cut applied to the frequency of an EQ band (or bass boost). The higher the Q, the more narrow the affected bandwidth is. The lower the Q, the wider the bandwidth affected is.

So, long story short, adjusting the boost on an EQ or bass boost doesn't ONLY affect the frequency you are directly adjusting, it affects a certain amount of frequencies around it. The Q allows you to adjust the "width" of frequencies affected by the adjustment
