Can these specs work with this sub?

Bridged RMS Power @ 4 Ohms: 280W x 1 @ 14.4V

It is just one, I would run the DVC 8 into 4ohm, but I dont know what the difference is when it says bridged...if this amp would work, how would I wire it??

Positive of 1 channel and Negative of the other?

Yes, it can work. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You're bridging two channels together into one.

Next time you're playing with your mashed potato's, try this. Take your fork and make a nice hole in the middle of the pile. Then pour some gravy in there. Take the fork and make two slits on the right, and two slits on the left ... on the outside of the pile. Then connect the slit furthest to the left to the first one you made on the right hand side of the pile. You've bridged the positive side of the potato pile. Do the same with the two remaining negative slits, and you've got yourself one channel. Then slide the fork along the plate into the middle of gravy and lift up ... watch the gravy go everywhere. I don't know why you'd do that, but it's fun to watch. Then you can pretend to fix the dam //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Connect the voice coils in parallel. Then just connect it up. Some amps have a switch on them that bridge it internally or just a label on one of the channels that says "use this when bridging" or whatever.

The potato analogy, kind of useless. But fun and edible, nonetheless.

I'm running a Shiva in an Adire-built enclosure for it (around 1.5cf, somewhere around .67 Qtc, a mid-Q alignment)...off of a 250W plate amp. Gets plenty loud for my home music needs. I'm sure in a vehicle with cabin gain, you'd get more low end extension out of it.

nice...this is going to be a hopefully nice SQ system for my GFs new Infiniti J30...I am gonna go with a sealed shiva seeing 280 watts and an Infinity 6000CS comp set seeing 50 watt off a Pioneer 4600...nothign major, but I think it would suit her well!
