Adire Koda 10" sub & Arc Audio 2050 question?

I've got a one 10" Adire Koda subwoofer that is rated for 300 watts RMS that I am going to mount in an sealed enclosure in an 05 Toyota Tundra doublecab. I was looking at buying the Arc Audio 2050 XXK amp rated at 230 watts bridged to power the sub. The biggest reason for this particular amp is that its only 8 x 9 inches in size and it will fit just fine under my passenger seat. I can't really get an amp to much bigger because of space limitations. Maybe 9 x 11 inches maximum.

Is this amp sufficent for this sub? Can you guys reccommend any other amps that would work for me? The amp for my front end is going to be the 4 channel Arc Audio 4150 XXK, thats how I ran accross the 2050. Thanks for any input.

what are you running off the 4150? unless you are running actively, you could run the rear ch's of the 4150 to the koda and the 2050 to rear fill

The 4150 is taken completly, it will be used for the 2 sets of identical components. I really just need the sub amp issue resolved. Thanks for the reply

adire loves to tout the the sensitivity of their subs. Did you watch that video of the shiva getting only 60 watts? RMS ratings of speakers are just a general guide, not a ceiling or requirement. Your sub won't sound like it's 70 watts short. It will sound like 230 watts.

If you really have questions about anything made by adire, you can probably get better answers at the adire forum, which is on their website somewhere.

I have a single Koda 10 in a sealed box and your 230 watts would be great for it, definitely. At one time I had 200 watts going to mine and it sounded unbelievable, so 230 would be even better. Right now I'm running around 300 and I adjust down from my h/u when I crank it.

Yeah, when I asked Adire about feeding my Koda 10 240 watts, their reply was that will be plenty for it's intended SQ role in a sealed single cubic footer. If you lean more toward SPL and SQ, you should have gone with a Brahma, but new they are scarce right now.
