i've owned my re se for about a month now and I love the way the sound but I think Im looking for a lil more output.......I currently have then hooked to a Audiopipe 15001D and the thing is a monster my gain is currently set to less than 1/3 and i've reached the peak of output of the se's......so I was pondering if I should add a RE SE 12 or go with two sdc 2.5's? Please guys chime in thanks

wow you guys jus made it harder lol I could sell the se's but **** what would be better 2 AQ's 2.5 on 750+ rms each or three SE's on 500+ rms.....is I say plus after each wattage because im not sure how powerful this amp really is there is no doubt in my mind it could handle three se's

those se's will take more than 600 RMS. Plus, you don't drive around playing 0db tones anyway!!!

hmmm not sure what ur trying to say and I am giving them the 750 apiece now and they take it well jus want more output bro

he's saying that they SE's will take more than the rms. I say keep the SE's because they're similar subs imo. you won't gain much output if any by switching to the sdc's. just add another SE and run that. a lot of your output is gonna be install specific, not product specific.

how would I go about wiring them if they are all 4 ohm subs? my amp is stable at 1 ohm
well 3 D4 subs doesn't really work well with 1 ohm.. you could do all parallel and try .66667 ohm load or series-parallel and try the higher 2.6 ohm. I don't know if the audiopipe cares if the initial load is below 1 ohm or not though...if it's the older model, I'm pretty sure it'll work.

3 12s > 2 12s in this case as there won't be THAT much difference in the two subs you wanna run. SE has 3" coils, SDC obviously has 2.5" coils and T/S are pretty close on other aspects.

you know what, do what makes you happy. if you wanna change out, go for it! We all have MANY times.

I had my SE 12s in a split-chamber box 1.8@32hz that looked like

and loved it.

i know both the re and audiopipe really well cause i sell them. stick with the se's get another dvc4. the audiopipe 15001 will run fine daily @.67ohm.

before you run out and buy another sub are they in a ported enclosure? if not run the pain ported. also show me pix of ur install because with ur equipment you should easily be in the 140s...

ye they are ported and i kno all you guys dont like it but they are in a prefab pro box its prolly the best prefab box i can buy.....I was thinking about going with the three chamber probox if I was with three se's....oh and its loude but I kinda want more and I hope your right when you say the AP15001 will run fine at .67 ohms

thats your problem right there.

get somebody on the board to build you a box. I hear those SE's like low 30's and im sure that prefab is tuned in the 40's

i disagree... i went from cvrs to sd 2.5's and gained a ton of low end and out put..... in the same box. subs do make a diff. 4 cubes 36 hz sd's would pound.
