Was wondering what yall have gotten on your ACT scores and what money you have gotten for them as far as scholarships go. I want to go to appalachian state in NC but i dont really have the money and my gpa is low (2.6)

26 composite.

My overall high school GPA wasn't great either (3.1 I believe), but I had a 3.95 and 3.9 junior and senior year, respectively, which really looked good on my applications.

The college I went to was always known for being very generous in terms of scholarships and whatnot. It really depends on the school.

i got a 26 composite on the ACT

With that score you could apply for the TN hope scholarship. It's the lottery one. Not sure how much you get, but it's better then nothing. You have to use that money inside the state though, IIRC.

I made a 22 on it and my gpa is around 3.1 I think. I'm going to take it again just to see if I can get it any higher, and I've still got the fee waiver left, so I might as well take it again.

i haven't taken it yet, i'm gonna take it next summer sometime. i made a 26 on some test called the "PLAN", supposedly gives you an idea of what you'd make on the real thing.

i made a 19 in 7th grade if that counts.

Yeah I stress out too. It helps though if you're more relaxed about it. The first time I took it, I made a 19 then I took it a couple weeks ago and made a 22. The first time I kept falling asleep during the test because I couldn't sleep the night before from being too worried about it.

After your outa highschool, no one gives a shit about ACT or HS GPA.

im going down that road myself. straight 4.0s through elementary and jr. high, i hit 9th grade and all hell broke loose....my gpa hasn't been above 3.0 since.
