Thanks for the link, but Im surprised that a movie titled Across the Universe didnt use the song by David Bowie that was titled Across the Universe.

Across the universe

Words are flowing out like

endless rain into a paper cup

They slither wildly as they slip away

Across the universe

Pools of sorrow, waves of

joy are drifting through my

opened mind

Possessing and caressing me

[ CHORUS (twice) ]

Nothing's gonna change my world

Nothing's gonna change my world

Images of broken light which

dance before me like a

Million eyes

They call me on and on

Across the universe

Thoughts meander like the restless

wind inside a letter box

They tumble blindly as they make their way

Across the universe

[ CHORUS 1 (twice) ]

Sounds of laughter, shades of life

are ringing through my

open ears

Inciting and inviting me

Limitless undying love, which

shines around me like a

million suns

It calls me on and on and on

Across the universe

Probably because it was all Beatles music //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
I downloaded the soundtrack from Ruckus, and I love it.

I guess that had something to do with it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Also the Bowie song wasnt from the right time period as it came out on the Young Americans album back in the mid 70's.

Thanks again for pointing out that movie, I hadnt heard of it before.

I thought the movie was very good actually, probably the music though, I have the soundtrack as well, excellent //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

To be honest I wasn't a big Beatles fan.
Then I saw the movie, and have a new respect for their music.

But, overall I thought the movie was pretty good...
I have to agree, I was somewhat a fan, then the movie hit and I found myself listening to them more and more //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Beatles have been a mainstay of mine for quite some time. Even if they technically are a boy band //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif (at first anyway) lol

I still can't stand to listen to the Beatles, I hate the way they sound.

But, I respect their songs more and what they did to and for music...

didn't David Bowie give all the Beatles blowjobs at one time????? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I saw Bono in the trailer for it and immediately decided I didn't want to see it.

Recently got the entire Dr. Ebbetts mono versions of the Beatles discography in FLAC, even though I'm much more a fan of their later stuff...they just weren't as good without drugs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

No, I think he had a fling with Mick Jagger in the late 60's.

Is it any different from the actual Beatles music? Like, if I have all of the Beatles songs already, is there a reason for me to go hunt this album down?

Don't know if you know this or not, but it is named after the Beatles song, Across the Universe, from the "Let it Be" album.

I want to see the movie but I am afriad they bastardized the music:( The Beatles are my favorite band, and I have a hard time listening to any of their music that has been redone.

I did hear Blackbird on a tv show and it wasn't too bad, but I was unimpressed with the other songs I heard. I may till check it out, just don't know.

I was really into the movie, and then things got trippy. I was just kinda like WTF. I mean I can see the symbolism in some of the things they did, but some scenes (Mr. Kite) were just out there.
It didn't help having my gf next to me, who is too conservative for her own good. She got so offended when they smoked pot and there were ***** present. Whoop de freaking doo.
Mr. Kite tripped me out too, but as I listened to the song after and reflecting on the scenes in the movie, I started to appreciate it more for what is is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
