Acoustics in Safari/Astro van... I know... I know.

I know its an astro van... be nice. The price was right, and I'm in college and kinda tight on the buck so it is what it is for the next 2 years.

So while making the best of the situation I decided to throw the stereo I had in my caddy into the van and still working on it and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions as far as acoustics go. Mainly dealing with seat removal and my dual bandpass box.

I don't plan on driving too many people around, so i was thinking about taking out either the rear bench seat OR more likely the middle two bucket seats. Right now the sub is going behind the bench seat and the ports I am planning on firing upwards (woofers would be firing towards the trunk then).

Should I strip out whatever seats I can and leave them in the basement or should I leave them in to help absorb some sound and clean it up a bit?

Suggestions with the bandpass box?

Lol, trust me, I would if I could - just making the best of my situation... already going to be eating ramen noodles by the end of the semester as is.

Was just looking for some suggestions that's all. Probably going to take out the middle row and have the sub wired up so I can just pull it out easily if I need to haul something in it.

...Take it easy on the cool kids driving their parents old astro vans haha.

You can make them pretty cool lookin.

You have a car audio setup and you can afford to put gas in an Astro but you can't afford to eat better than ramen noodles? I guess people have different priorities than me.
