I bought it wanting an affordable, loud SQL driver. Mine WAS an AV15-X, until bassfreak folded it up and got it reconed into an H. I had it in 3.5 tuned to 25 Hz with 29 in^2 of port area with ~1000 watts. At first I did have setup issues. Turned out one side of the sub-outputs was bad on my HU (or the Knu RCA is bad). Once I started sending it full power, I started noticing the issue of a lack of upper end more and more. After months of trying to figure out what was up with it and wanting a solution, I was sick and tired of it. Joel (papermaker) didn't believe what I was saying, John kept telling me I was an idiot instead of telling me to send the driver back, Joel bought it, installed it, and heard it for himself. After he got tired of listening to the coil rocking with the soft spiders, he turned it up to see what the sub would take till it folded up on itself. Also, worth noting - the coil rocked and scraped the shit out of the coil. Apparently, it also scored a line in the coil which was enough to i guess cut almost all the way thru the top layer. John has the pics. John claims this may have contributed to the lack of upper frequency extension as well. I had a feeling the coil was rubbing, I had said so in my posts, papermaker didn't care/listen w/e and wanted to buy it from me, so I took it out, took a couple really crappy pics of the lines in the coil, and shipped it off. However, I still did it wrong according to John
