Accessory go... Ignition Stop!

I have an '03 Silverado with 2 -10" Kicker Comp VR subs, a set of Boston Acoustic components powered by a Rockford 900 watt amp and a Kicker 1200 watt amp. The head unit is an Alpine CDA-9856 and giving me some serious f'n headaches!

When I turn the key to accessory everything starts up just fine. When I turn the key all the way over and start the truck though it starts to come on then shuts off and does not come back on unless I shut it off and put it back to accessory. I have also noticed that my battery seems to be low as the truck is acting like it almost isn't going to start.

It was working just fine when I first installed about 2 weeks ago but then this started and didn't work all last week.

That's weird... Well, like most problems, the normal route is a bad ground... but I'm not sure if the same is for the ignition. Do you happen to have a test light or a DMM? Of so, I'd say take out your trusty and test it out. See what's going on behind the unit.

i've never heard of a deck causing starting problems. do like IDSkot said and check all your wires if you think everything is fine then disconnect teh stereo compeletely pull the deck out and take the amp power wire off and see what happens. also did you need a special harness for that vehicle? like for onstar? or a databus signal?

Hey guys thanks for replying to this... The f'd up thing is that the actual functioning of the truck itself is fine. Sorry if I didn't word this right... The truck itself does start and the deck has the Alpine logo come up on the screen but as soon as the logo is displayed it just shuts off and doesn't come on. But, like I was saying when I put the key to Accessory the stereo runs perfectly! Then when I continue to ignition everything starts to come up and then the deck shuts off again. I tried disconnecting the battery thinking maybe it is the Passlock thing somehow messing with it. I am hoping that by leaving the battery disconnected for a while will wipe out the memory on the computer. We'll see.

I am really new to this whole thing... What is a B+ output? And I do have what my family calls a bug light. Just roachclip like connector on a cable connected to a probe that looks like an ice pick with a light in the handle. Which wire am I testing gonna have to go off the color code. Hey, that's a good point... Where can I track down a breakdown of the color code?
