Message: <blockquote data-quote="RAM_Designs" data-source="post: 4203447" data-attributes="member: 566575"><p>I always use a 1/16 drill bit to pre-drill with, and then follow it up with something to countersink the screw heads.  Without a doubt the best kind of nail/screw I have ever used are 1.25" coarse thread drywall screws.  The thread is spaced out much further and really grips the MDF well, as opposed to other screws that tend to shred the mdf apart after screwing and unscrewing several times...then you end up stripping the hole.</p></blockquote><p></p>
