im sure the SS is better, but for a little more or around the same, i can get the 4 power acoustik a3000db's. anyone mess with these? what kinda power do they do? its either 4 of those or 1 ss xxx10000. theres no way im gonna get 10k w outta it though becuase thats at 16v. im gonna be running 1 300a alt and most likely 4 odessey pc1700s. more if needed...

opinions? or possibly hifonics maybe? how are the new model hifonics(the ones that are black) i remeber hearing lots of problems about the old ones like the bx1000d's that they would break...

If your looking @ hifonics, i would go for the XX lines. the black ones are the BxiModels, and the highest they have is the 2000rms. I would go with the XX-Goliath. It will do 5000rms @1ohm, i would get two of them if you wanted 10,000RMS. I would still concentrate more on your electrical system.....

i dont think the SS at a 12 volt setup puts out 10k. but to REALLY see big numbers out of any of those amps, you need to be in excess of 16v in most cases, and way below 1ohm.

First.. 4 Orion 5000D's, then SS 10k, Then PA 3000's and HiFonics. Make up your mind and buy something, VJ. lol. Hurry up and get some powa to my MT..

with the soundstream u have to have like 17-18 v set up to see anything close to those numbers. I myself am going with hifonics xx colossus i was lookin at the xxx6500 and decided i didnt want to be forced to run such a high voltage set up
