Valid point my friend. I would however like to shift the blame from the wire, to the terminal I used and my noob self back then ( also my horrible memory for not realizing what I'm explaining now until after I said the stuff had a corrosion problem). It was a top post terminal made of brass I believe. I am not sure, but I think brass corrodes very easily. I actually still have the terminal in question in a box of misc electrical stuff and its almost a black color because of the corrosion that was going on. Helotaxi, I'm sure you're right on saying that the Audiopipe doesn't have a corrosion problem. My knowledge of electrical systems wasn't exactly very good considering that was my first install. Also, 4 years ago was about the time I installed the wire, so we are problem discussing the same wire here.A very easy way to get around this is to used closed end crimp rings and use dual wall (adhesive lined) heat shrink. If the wire is not exposed to the elements, it will not corrode.
