ca.com has specific rules. But I and the other mods have said in the past that we cannot lay out rules that apply to every single situation without creating so many rules that it stifles the 'fun' atmosphere of the honestly fun seeking members here. So Im reminding everything that the mods here do have the authority to make judgement calls on individual situations. We can and will remove posts/threads that walk the fine line between what is and is not acceptable, if we feel it hinders the the positive atmosphere ca.com wishes to offer its members. So my one and only warning to you is, if you think the mods *might* frown upon such a thing, dont post it.
I'll cite some examples. Making a classified ad about felacio, not acceptable. A gif in your sig of two people dry humping each other (men or women, clothed or not), is not acceptable. A pic of a beautiful woman is one thing, but a pic of her in some sexually implied way is another. Yes, I can already hear the questions.... what about models in bikinis at the ca shows, etc. Again, we mods DO have the power to decide, each of us, what I might find acceptable, WD or Mike or Denim may not. Do not think trying to play one mod against the other will work. If I think something isn't quite bad enough to say no, but Mike or WD gives an infraction for it, I WILL back their decision 100%. So again, if you think any of us *might* not accept it, simple, dont post it.
This is a car audio site, not a "wow look at those *****" site. I realize the majority of members are relatively young males, but this sit is meant to be respectful to both genders, all ages, etc. If you cant handle that, feel free to find another site that suits your tastes better. We do have paying professional vendors here, and they have a valid concern to make sure their business is advertised and represented on a professional venue. Your personal opinion of what is acceptable does not trump those of the site staff, no offense, but we MUST maintain that stance in order to maintain order here.
All that being said, we mods will do our best to give as much leeway in the t-dome as possible, as we've always viewed is as a place for people to vent and bust loose a little bit. But even in the t-dome, that only goes so far. As far as the other sections, the classifieds and tech sections, I (and I assume the other mods) will show *very* little patience. I realize not everyone will see this thread immediately, or learn what the new (old) rules are, so we will try our best to be fair, but I dont recommend trying to push the limits to see how much you can get away with. If I get the feeling that is happening, even a little, I will not hesitate to act in a very strict manner.
Sorry if this sounds confrontational to anyone, as its not meant to be. Im simply trying to express the feeling that we are serious about these matters, so nobody is caught off guard when/if a mod has to act on an issue. Im confident most members here will agree with this, and the ones who dont, will simply be happier on another forum. Thankyou all for your support.
