I'm planning to do a fiberglass/mdf tire well enclosure, starting it mid march. Was wondering how much resin should I get?

This will be my first time working with fiberglass keep that in mind.

Whould a gallon be enough or more then enough for what i'm doing?

And also does anyone know how good kitty hair / fiberglass reinforced filler is? And could it replace using cloth/resin/hardner?

had more ?s.......can't remember. Well get at those 4 now.

Kitty hair is a PITA to work with. You could use it to build up thickness and strength once you have the basic shell done with something else but it would end up being more expensive and by far a lot more trouble.

i wouldnt use kitty hair for adding strength over the entire enclsure.. i use it for reinforcing seams or where glass meets wood or whatever..

and I think you coudl get by with a gallon if you do multiple layers quickly

Any specific type of resin? Like for example, i was told the Polyester Resin wasn't good.

Also any brand/websites you guys recommend?
