i'm actually considering running it aperiodic...

i know i'm probably just being crazy

Yeah it would work, but kinda overkill / pointless for a SPL sub of that caliber.

what else will play as loud though with the extension/accuracy i would get in an aperiodic with this sub, AND with a smaller/lighter overall sub and enclosure combination? Plus i have this sub, and the car...

I am truly open to other suggestions though- i just want it to be louder than most, more accurate than most, and to hit some real nice lows with linearity- while weighing as little as possible with a small foot print.

i was thinking i could just use my garbage can as a mold and make a decently small (like 20" diameter x 30" cylindrical aperiodic enclosure) which would hardly take up any room. It woudl look sick finished and painted too...

honestly though- better ideas? this really might be an awful one and i respect your advice
