IB is inifinate baffle. Like running the trunk as a box pretty much. Also on the quarter you might be able to great stuff behind it.

Be careful when using foam behind the quarter panels. It does expand so keep that in mind.

Ah thats right now I remember lol thanks. Nope not running the trunk as an IB it have a box approxiamatley 17Hx34Wx?D not sure how deep yet, but is if I build a box and it is sealed off from the trunk I wont need to worry about the quarter panels right?

are you going IB? why seal everything? I left my 6x9 holes open in the deck but put tons of deadener everywhere. I did great stuff the trunk lid and the area going up into the c pillars. getting the trunk solid helped a bit but I always wanted a way to keep the the gas tank door from flappin.

No not doing IB. I will be installing a box 17Hx34Wx?D, Like I said if I seal everything I just know it will improve my mic score and sound a little better but not sure how well Ill notice though lol.

only if you have a path into the cabin. You would have to run with a ski hole or a ported deck lid. Id kee the holes there and dound deaden around them

Why would I need a path into the cabin? If the subs and port are already in the cabin being that I am walling it off of the trunk. Wouldnt I want it all sealed so no air can escape back into the trunk? Isnt that th reason for walling it off? So there for it would be louder on the mic and to the ear correct? Im just making sure like I said this is my first real build.

It's all good. But yes and no, with the way I am building it ill be able to keep the bottom cushion of the back seat in and people will be abl to sit back there just not lean back at all lol. Until I figure out what to do in place of the seat just because I dont want to put a wall in my car.

Hey everybody I just got some of my stuff yesterday, Ill be posting pics of it in a sec but unfortuately was unable to get everything since the Tsunami holding Warehouse in Alabama burned down last month. and being I ordered competition series everything its all on backorder and steve was only able to give me what he had left over so I didnt get what I wanted but he gave me extra of some other stuff for free to make up for it and some RCA's for next to nothing that retail at 200 bucks for having to wait so I am still very satisfied. only thing I am waiting for now is 50ft of 0G competition series wire which I will be getting next month so most of the electrical part of the install will be on hold till next month.

Now to more questions, RD's box builder Mike, said after looking at my car he thinks I would be louder and sound better in a 4th order Bandpass box using the opening itself as the port itself, versus going the other direction and walling it off from the trunk. I am just curious as to what other people would think about this idea. I am prolly gonna try both but still want to hear what other people think will be louder.

And I see that thors is similar to a 4th order as to how it is set up and see he is hitting in the 49's and is hoping to see low 50's soon when he adds more power lol. and our cars are very similar except his is 4 door and mine is 2 lol that is why Im using his as an example.

Finally Got some of my stuff. Not exactly what I was wanting but like I said Tsunami's holding warehouse burned down last month.



Suppose to be All Competition Series wire but was out due to Tsunami's Problem so I am waiting on another 50ft of 0G except this last roll will be Comp Series. And same goes for speaker wire suppose to be woven 50ft but had none so he gave me like 75ft+ (havent actually measured yet but the roll looks like it use to be a 200ft roll and its about half gone) twisted 12G streetwires to make up for it. Suppose to be 4 HD ring terminals comp series but again Tsunami is on backorder for everything so he gave me 8 of the Elite Series instead. And Lastly suppose to be 4 Grounding terminals Comp series but that to he did not have due to fire.
