98 s10

Does anyone have a 98 s10 reg cab? I was wondering what do you do about the jack on the passenger side? I took off the plastic part but there is a metal piece that holds the jack in place. There are no screws so im guessing it must be welded or something. how do you relocate this thing so I can get more room, in my, already cramped space? Im kinda new to this so any help would be appreciated.

i hv e reg cab 2000 ........... i just got one really good 12 (mtx 8000) and mounted the amp on the gray jack thingand it pounds

if its welded on there there might be nothing you could do....i had the same problem in my toyota i had a while back....the place the jack went was welded to the frame of the truck...i tried to pry it off and it jus started to mess the back wall of my truck up so i just left it there and built around it....good luck
