'95 Park Avenue. New head unit, no sound

I just bought a new Fahrenheit tid-893b and replaced the stock stereo in my 1995 Buick Park Avenue with it. The unit it self has all the signs of life you would expect, but nothing comes through the speakers when trying to play music through it. Any suggestions?

Read the review on this h/u in this link. you could have a defected unit considering it it properly installed.

also, i once had installed a unit in a previous car of mine. same thing happened to me...no sound. Come to find, i had to connect a remote wire coming from a factory amp

I know the one I have works, I was given one that was hooked up in the store, I watched it work there. So unless it broke on the way to my house, it should be fine.

ok, sounds like you may have a factory amp that requires to be hooked up to get any sound. Has the same thing on my Suburban. My factory amp was located right under the dash on the drivers side.

If it does have a factory amp, I can't find it and my internet searches are far from fruitful, all the wiring diagrams I've found say N/A for amp location and wire color of the trigger.
