92 VW Gti worth it?

I am looking at a 1992 VW GTI with the 16V. it has 160,000 miles on it. runs perfect, body is in great shape except for one minor rust spot on the rear hatch, not that noticable. he is asking $1500 for it and i was wondering if it was a worthy purchase. thanks

Parts are a PITA to purchase. Finding them is difficult, and when you do they are hella expensive. Other than that no lol. Way to many miles on that sucka.

ehh, it might be if you could knock him down, i know alotta guys around here with bada$$ mk2s...and you could always check the vortex for cheaper parts. depends on if you want something thats gonna need maintainece, or not.

that thing is close too 200 k miles i wouldnt get it. unless you can drop the price enough to get an engine overhual and probably ****** too
