there is no comparison. the 780 is a hu for those who want the flashiness. prs-880 is for those who want the best sound, in a nutshell. the PRS-880 started as a carrozzeria deck introduced to the rest of the world a few years before it was brought to the us. eq for left and right, time alignment, etc. download the manual from pioneer and check it out. new version is the PRS-800.

Still have the m25 pg, and the rcas.. This little powerhouse can do 80 watts a channel. Maybe a bit more. Highly underrated, and overbuilt. Once again I suggest the caps be replaced before playtime, as the m series amps are notorious for cap leakage under usage, do to the old caps.

yes, i have one ;-) the 980bt has the bluetooth and a 16 band eq but the prs series has a 16 band left and right eq. i still prefer a pre-out only deck, though. too bad i missed the 880 though, good for a backup at that price.

wow...extremely cheap for the 880 prs. I think i sold mine broken on ebay for like 75 excluding shipping.
