88 Caddy Fleetwood FWD Radio Install

I have a 88 D'Elegance Fleetwood FWD.

I have pulled the factory out and installed a JVC KD-S620 CD Radio.

Using the Metra Harness Kit what has happened is I Lost The Digital Dash of the car and all instrument panel controls (ie- No A/C or Heater Fan control) I do have turn signal but lost all the lights to the dash.

Now I have attached a document showing the wiring that is in place.

I have been all over the internet trying to get this figured out. And so far I still dont have dash lights....

EXCEPT.....I get dash light and functions when I turn on my headlights.

I hope that you can make some sense out of my attachment with the wiring setup...if not I will provide more info.

The radio and all it's functions work great....however I lost like I said the dash lights.

Can anyone help me???

sounds like you screwed with the factory Illumination wire or used it as a ground for the radio or something.

If the illumination from the car is [gray?] where do I hook it to?

I do recall (I think) a grey wire that connected to the black wire of the harness that I bought for the radio.....but if that is not supposed to plug into that where do I connect it and where/how do I connect ground?

I think it needs power when the car somes on? Try hooking ti to remote wire and see what happens! But Im not 100% sure

Yeah, you are supposed to hook an orange wire (IIRC) to ignition. If this is the model I'm thinking of.
