I'm going to be getting one of these, and was wondering what you guys thoughts are. I'll be ordering online, so the only reason I'm considering the 860 is because my sub amp has 5V input. I'm searching ebay for decent prices on a 9835, but if that doesn't pan out, it will prob be the 860 if you guys think it's worth the extra $.

PS. I wish I had noticed the $300 9833 crutchfield deal sooner //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif That was a sweet *** deal.

You know how you always think there may be something better out there, and toy with the idea of switching out your current audio components?

Well, I have a 860MP, and have never once thought of getting rid of it. It has all the features Ill ever use, and some that I wont, but its cool to know they are there.

Picked it up on ebay as a refurb for $255 shipped, too.

for the money you'll be hard pressed to find anything much better than the 860, sure the 9833/35 ect, but none of them will flat out dominate the 860, it's such a complete unit imo, it's very user friendly and aesthetically it looks awesome

are you running amps? If so get the 860 if not then get the 8600 the higher voltage is so your amps dont run as hot. On a side note I heard pioneer bases their voltage on 20,000 ohms not the 50 ohms Kenwood and Eclipse use to base their voltage. Atleast thats what some sound engineer I know told me after i said i bought a p770mp.

Well it doesn't have any extra features exept for the higher preouts and the 2 year warrenty.

you are incorrect. it also has a pro "network" mode for systems with

proper comp setups who want to run them active...

the 860 is an awesome deck... got mine on ebay for 355$... much

more user friendly than the alpine i had right before it...

Well i'm running polk ex365's in the front, stock in the rear and a mtx mxa 6001 to my subs. I don't think qualify's as being a system that would use the "network" mode does it?

Also those preout's are 6.5V at 100 ohms. Check the owners manual on Pioneers site.

Well it's only a $25 difference if i get it from etronics, and $13 if i get the 8600 from ikesound and the 860 from etronics. Right now I adjusted the gains on my amp with the volume set a little over half way, and still have to turn the gain up 3/4 of the way. With a 6.5V preout, i shouldn't have to turn them up much at all. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
