80mil 36sq feet or 50mil 50sq feet What should I get?

Looking to put some deadener in a low budget system but wanting it to have decent SQ. Likely non amped component in the door and a single sealed SQ oriented 8" likely under 200 watts. 05 4 door canyon. Looking for suggestions.

With your system,being small I would not buy any and save money or use it on your highs for sq reasons or deck for something you might like more.Any rattles now?If not you good.

Honestly, there is a whole process for sound deadening. Vibration dampener is only part 1. Then CCF, then MLV (which is the real sound blocker/deadener/absorber). Vibration dampening only stops panels from vibrating so much. With such a small system 2-300 watts total, Im not sure much vibration is going to happen if much at all. There's a ton of threads about sound proofing/deadening, def research before hopping into it.

dont ever buy the thin deadener EVER. buy the good stuff and do one layer. 3 layers of the thin cheap stuff wont even equal to one layer of the good stuff.

I will take your suggestion and not buy the 50 mil stuff. The canyon interior is pretty low GM quality. I do have rattles now and hope I can tame it down a bit with some deading. I have also decided that I am going to amp the speakers. I had planned on buying a 4 ohm or dual 2 ohm sub and using a 2 or 4 channel amp, but got a good deal on a ID8 D4 ohm and plan on using it. Not positive but I think I am going to buy the PPI Ion I640.5 amp to power everything. I do currently have a RE 1000.1 and a 500.2 but those are two big, and in a 95 Odyssey with a 12" sub I drive from time to time.
