Message: <blockquote data-quote="dakar8" data-source="post: 4574633" data-attributes="member: 553285"><p>Still haven't had access to some allen wrenches to check everything out, but I messed around a little bit today.  I unhooked the speaker wire from my amp to the sub box terminal cup.  If I touch the posts with the wire, I get a little bump out of the sub as it's grounding out I guess.  I also touched the wire to the posts on a spare speaker I had and the cone just goes out (like with a 9v battery). Dunno if this will shed some light on whats going on.
