Have ran the Pioneers in the past and not a fan. They do over rated but have an slight hiss. Most people can't tell it as most use them in trunk installs. But if you have ever run them in a hatchback or truck, you can hear the hiss coming thru the subs

I don't see a point in spending that price (130-140) when you could spend a small amount more and get an amp that will put out much more power? I dunno, is there a reason?

if he planning a 2nd sub or better subs then yeah he should look tad bigger anyway (the sq 1250 is $179) but if he sticking to that 1 sub or upgrading to 1 600rms sub later he don't much more power.. i'd be worried that 400rms would blow as is..

Come on guys. Anyone ever heard of gain matching and headroom? The amp will be set at 400 to 450 watts for daily listening. If I decide to see what she will do SPL I can bump up to burp at 800.

oh yeah i understand box rise and wanting headroom, just saying keep that 2" coil in mind, if it was the vvx i'd say get the 1k.. if u just gonna stick with the 1 get the rp800 if u want maybe a nicer amp if u just want to power the sub good get the 750.. after blank reviews the sq 2250 tonite u may wanta look at the new sq amps instead..

meh for $179 i'd get the skar 1500 or the 1k lp for less but.. get the sq 850 $149.. blank just posted video of dyno of the 2250 it did over rated so the 850 should be good too..
