I had planned on installing this on my 4-door F-150 SuperCrew (on each door panel). Would it be better used somewhere else? Possibly the floor?

no need on the floor unless you have road noise. Most new trucks come with proper dampening on the floors already. Doors, roof, maybe rear wall. Thats the areas I would consentrate.

You may even choose to put two layers on each door.
