8" kenwood?

i came across this 8" kenwood sub today. i can't find any info or pics online of the thing. it's in great shape. the marking on it say kfc-wr/um3, 8ohm, 125watt. i can't find it on the kenwood sight either. i might end up throughing it in a box for my surround sound in my bedroom.

anybody know anything about these subs? and is the 125 rms or peak?

From what I found its a factory sub out of an 2003-2004 mazda with the excelon system

Part number 110xxxxxxxx is available as a replacement sub in mazdas

Those were the 8's that came stock in the Mazda Speeds, all the "Speed" versions of the Mazda 3 had off the shelf Kenwood Excelon headunits, amps and speakers. In that car they actually sounded pretty decent....I know because I was actually a finance manager at one of the local Mazda dealerships back then. We had to start moving all the Speeds inside the building at night to keep the thieves from breaking into them and stealing the decks. The first week we had six Speeds get broken into....

But yeah the "Tornado" subs sounded like crap in every configuration I ever heard them in no matter what type of box they were put in....

I just threw it in a little slot port box I had laying around, and put about 100rms into it in my hatch. it actually makes some decent noise. I can say that I'm actually impressed. lol

not that I noticed. I'm actually going to just run this sub in my car untill I have the cash for something new...
