can someone tell me how to change my sub set up from being wired at 8 ohms, to 4 ohms I have 2 x JBL GTO 1202D subs and an infinity reference 1600a amp and the amp can play at 600rms at 4 ohms - which would be perfect because the subs at 300 rms each, the amp is a mono channel amp right now I have just wired them up direct, one sub just has a positive wire going to the positive on the amp, and the negative is going to the negative on the amp and for the other sub I have done the same, just wired the positive from the other sub to the positive on the amp and the same with the negative, so all 4 + and -'s on the amp are filled. so I think I might be over powering my amp, also my amp blew up today, I dont know how? but I just want to make sure that I wire it up right for when I get my new amp, so can someone tell me how to change it from an 8 ohms set up to 4 ohms please? any help would be appreciated, thanks
