6x8 vs 5.25

Looking for 6x8 or 5.25in speakers for my explorer doors . Running 120w to per side. I have adapters to go to 5.25 any advantage of 5.25 vs 6x8?? Also any speaker recommendations

If you can, do some adapters to 6.5s because there are many great 6.5 choices on the market vs a very limited number of good 5.25 and 6x8 speakers out there. However if thats the only choices you can have then there are a few that can work. We'd also need a budget first to know what you can get.

Get a wooden baffle made. It should be cheaper than buying new speakers. Fraction of the cost.
