Those are computer speakers right? If it takes an optical input, than yes the optical part will work. The other 3 are for video.

yeah, it's got a spd/if input on the head unit, and my motherboard has optical out .. i never really understood the toslink thingy. i'll keep this mind..

Toshiba created it hence the name "toslink"

SPDIF stands for "Sony, Philips digital interface"

Toslink is just another name for optical and SPDIF is just another name for a digital audio connection
