I have an older Camaro with the factory AM radio in it, and I don't want to cut into the car at all. I also want to keep the car original looking as possible. Here is my plan buy a secretaudio head unit (http://www.casmfg.com/Secretaudio.htm), put it in the trunk and run the remote to the glove box. I also am planning on buying the IPOD kit so I can plug an IPOD, Satellite, etc into it. My problem - there is a place to mount 6x9's in the back from the factory; and that is it. I do have the original speaker in the center of the dash, but I want to keep the AM radio functional for car shows. I realize the head unit is not going to win any competitions, but anyone have any opinions as to what speakers to get and where to put them to make the best sound? Should I buy a 3 way set of 6x9's and put a box in the trunk and amplify the secretaudio head unit? Should I get 2 way's and hide tweeters upfront? Should I put speakers under the front seats? I know there are repro kick panel pieces with built in speakers, but they would be dead giveaway they weren't there from the factory. I have been wanting to do this for some time, but haven't figured the best way to go about it.
