birks are big in NY aren't they ? I worked up there last summer and everyone had em... I had no clue WTF they were. Rainbow sandals for me!

i only know a few people who wear birkenstocks besides me, and their my friends. ive gotten so used to them though that i cant get myself to buy new shoes. i feel so trapped in shoes. its pathetic, but they become so comfortable. im still wearing the first pair i ever got, and the soles are worn down to the leather/cork, and the cork has crumbled and breaks off, but they feel like slippers! haha.

i suppose for the winter i should switch to a closed toe style, but for now i just have 3 diff colors of arizonas, black, white, brown.

40's is WARM man, no question. I was wearing a short sleeved shirt when it hit 40 here for a couple days last week. Couldn't wear shorts because I have chem labs, but I deffinately would have been //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ya if it were above freezing here I would probably go on a picnic haha.

You get so used to the cold its not a question if you can live or not.. plus you have NO idea how much I appriciate those 30c (90+f?) summer days at the beach. It like builds up for months than its an orgy of fun.

Get the shoes in winter..not the sandal shoes..the real shoes. they look ugly as sin and cost a couple hundred $, but they are fcking comfy and keep your feet dry. Birks were popular as long as i can remember...but i grew up in the pacific northwest. Lots of tree huggers trying to save the spotted owl. ftw!

And 40 degree's feels like a fcking heat wave when its been -20 for a while. I never understood people saying that until i acclimated to cold *** weather.

how the fukc can you enjoy the weather when its so fricken cold?
