Alright guys, I just need to know what the good deals are on component speakers these days, as I have been out of the loop for a bit (I have been working on my subsage for a while.)

I am just looking for a 6.5in comp set that can handle 125-200watts rms a side, with good midbass and a silk tweeter (or a metal one as long as it is not harsh, but that is hard to come by).

My last set was the Image Dynamics Chameleons, and I loved them, so if you could reference your recommendations to these, that would also be great.

Just let know the brands/products out there that might fit my idea and I can research from there.. It is just that I have no idea what to even look for.

Thanks guys.

Thanks for the recommendations so far. I can figure out where to get speakers, I just want to know what is out there, as in what products.

Pioneer TS-C720PRS, Polk, Alpine Type X, Infinity Perfect, Rainbow, Focal... there's TONS of great brands out there still.

DLS, Dynaudio,Brax, just to name a few more, you know there is a review section,(should be able to find that sense your so good at finding places to buy speakers you don't know about), I was trying to clue you in on the image dynamics they went for 250.00, you said you loved them, your welcome smartazz

Focal is real good so are kappa perfects by infinity. alpine R comps weren't too bad either. CDT makes good stuf just real expensive

I had the kappa perfects and found them to have the harshest tweeter known to mankind personally.

I'll check in to the other brands mentioned as well guys, thanks. I also found my ID's for 250 new which was a nice deal too.

as for Focal the polyglass comps are nice

theyre out of stock though but i just wanted to show ya, and to me i dont find those tweeters to be harsh and theyre aluminum tweeters, those speakers are a very nice set of comps, very rich, crisp, clear and smooth sounding

and also the Focal K2Ps are incredible speakers but alot more than those Polyglass comps

but i agree with the other guys, DLS, Polk, Dynaudio, Rainbow are all other great brands and other speakers to check out, personal preference comes into play cos all those brands make great speakers, depends on what your ears like

Just thought it was me but guess its true.. had them in for 6 months now every other tweeters and speakers are too soft for me. guess i got used to it. sounds good though
