im looking to get a 6.5 component set but dont wanna spend to much 150-200 looking for something that will get loud and sound good not those sets that tweets kill your ears.....was looking into focal, cdt,mb quart, boston acoustics, also heard rainbow are good but probably way outta my price range //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif any input would be appreciated

http://www.speedsound.com/caraudio.asp?pg=products&specific=jncnqrmngthose are some rainbows in your pricerange, havent heard em personnaly but i bet some other people on here have.
I have the 5 1/8" version of these speakers and for the money I like them.

Pros: SQ is great, tweets are silk(soft, no tinny painful sound).

Cons: Not as loud as I'd like. I'm only running front comps but they're only slightly louder than the four speakers I originally had.

If you just want something that sounds very good, the rainbow dream line will do you wonderfully. If you want something louder that won't sound quite as good, get like.. CDT EF-61's.

Another suggestion in that price range would be the Alpine Type X. Do some searches on those.

I've had the EF61 and they get plenty loud and have lots of midbass.

hmm the rainbows are looking good but so are the ef 61s......how are the tweets in the ef61.....kinda wanted to stay away from alpine and other local brands because i want something no body else has

I know what you mean about the local brands ;-p

'wtf is an rl-p? how is it louder than my type r?'

'rainbow speakers? are you gay?' *after a ride* 'okay, so I guess I want to taste the rainbow'

If you want louder speakers go for the ef-61s and pair them with a nine.2 amp or something, if you want more SQ aim for rainbow. You might be able to get some Rainbow Sound Line comps from some of the guys on this forum for under $200, and I'd probably choose those over the ef-61s.

yah after i save up some more money il probably get the ef-61s unless like you said i can find a nice set of rainbows that are in my budget......might be a couple months b4 i can get enough money for the comps and amp
