6”x9”s or 6 ½”

From what I have read since I have a Sub, I would be better off with 6 ½” components than 6” x 9”s.

Is there any debate over this?

If not I was considering keep_hope_alive ‘s recommendation of “ Hybrid Audio Technologies - Imagine I61-2”.

Where would be a good place to buy these? I could not find on ebay. I am open to other recommendations. I like my 6 ½” kappas at the rear doors, but do agree with others they can be a bit harsh.

Below you will see some of my “sins” I made these mistakes prior to being a member of this forum, I was out there trying to figure this stuff out on my own. I will clean it up one item at a time.

I run 6x9s whenever I can but that is just me. Some say 6x9s have shitty sound quality but I disagree.

the only place you'll find the Hybrid online is 12v Electronics Home Page anywhere else won't have warrenty. as for the 6x9 statement witha 6x9 you have more cone area and with proper install and placement i've heard some amazing installs from ppl using the XS69 from ID.

not many companies make a high end 6x9. I'm currently running the xs69 mids and they are certainly one of the best car audio based mids I've listened to.

I like 6x9s, some people may claim the shape of the speaker leads to crappy SQ but they offer some decent midbass FWIW.
