52 sq. in. necessary for dd 9512G?

It just seems like overkill for a single 12.

The box I am building is an irregular shaped box for an extended cab tacoma.

I have the box worked up with 2.7 cu/ft. @35 w/40sq.in. of port area.

And to up it to 52 the box would have to go up quite a bit in size.

Another box I built for a 9512g was 2.2 with onlyt 36 sq.in. and it seemed fine to me.

I will be calling DD tomorrow to see what they say.

I just wanted to get an opinion from some members here.
