5 Blind Mice - I found em, I wanna be there mommy...

I was tearing off a roof with my buddies today, pulled up a piece of plywood and I found a nest of 5 baby *** mice, like I think they were born today. No big mouse in sight, and the roof was coming down so I had to move them, I threw em on a piece of wood at the bottom, end of the day came around, mom was nowhere to be seen...

So, being as Im in canada, and its 45* outside, I put em in a shoebox and took em home. Tried giving them some warm milk and a grass bed, and they seem content, all they wanna do is curl into eachother and figit.

Heres a pic of them, can of coke and some nail clippers as size reference.

i figure hell, my lizards about to die, might aswell try and take care of them and see what happens.

As you can see in the pics though, they haven't opened there eyes or nothin, and I dont know what to feed them.

Anyone got any helpful ideas here??

Just keep giving them milk for now. Once they get a little bigger, they'll eat pratically anything.
I probably would've kept them too, man.
Well as of now I just made a little 1/4" tall bowl out of tinfoil, and put milk in it, if is wasnt for me holding them in it I dont think they would even go for the milk, should I be feeding it to them somehow??

Use an eyedropper. Those little guys can't be weened. You should probably call a vet and see if regular milk will keep them alive...

ANyone know how long til they might open there eyes or an educated guess on age? Im thinking 2-3 days based on what I read as they are born dead bald, but these ones have hair

They're rats... look likes the pups I just gave to my snakes. Mice are waaaay small when they're around that age.

Use a small syringe with puppy/baby formula and feed them like that. Pedialite will also work... it will give them nutrients and electrolytes. They're not too old... should take them about another 10 days to open their eyes. When they open their eyes and start walking around they can then start eating by them selves.
