The only 6" speaker that fits my kicks is the $107 a piece Morels on Madisound. My question is if I bought cheaper 5"+ speakers would I still have decent midbass or should I just get the 6" that fits?

depends on which speakers, but i don't think downgrading to a bit smaller size will affect the midbass that much

That's my philosophy with subs.

And diyma.com is the best place to find your answer. Though if you get good speakers then i don't think sizes matter too much, as long as they're not tiny
