Here is my situation, I am getting a system for my car. This includes a new deck which i have decided on the Kenwood Excelon KDC-X589 and 2 front speakers which would be the Alpine SPS-130A's. I am wanting 2 12" Alpine type-r's but i have too small of an amp to power them, the Phoenix gold M25. I would like to buy 1 sub and later on getting another sub and bigger amp, but i was told for some reason you cant have onle 1 4ohm sub. If your getting 1 sub then it must be 2ohms and getting 2 then they must be 4ohms. Why cant you just get 1 4ohm sub? If that is the case then should i just get the 2ohm one and when im ready to upgrade getting 2 4ohm subs, a new amp and then selling the 2ohm and amp on eaby or something?
