4 vs 1?

I just got an orion 1200d amp, and i am trying to decide between 4-12 cvr's or 1-12 solo-x. It will be going in a firebird right now, until i get a jeep cherokee. Which will be better? The cvr's would be cheaper, but that doesnt make much of a difference. Would the cvr's be better in a sealed box or ported? Would my one amp be enough to power either of these setups? Thanks.

Youd be better off with more power on the solo x.

Id go for the 4 sub setup. Ported.

4 12" ported would be tuff and maybe uncomfortable in a firebird. Go with just 2 12" until you get your jeep. When you get your jeep add 2 more.

I kinda agree with the ported idea for two 12's

I'd say the CVR's in your case, and as far as the CW's you just flat out dont have enough power

If you go ahead and buy the CVR's it'll be fine in a sealed box, they still do pretty well sealed

Well I was planning on folding the back seats down so that i have enough room, but i guess it would be alright if i just installed 2 for now, im hopefully getting the jeep within a few weeks. Im just gonna install my premier-10s for now, and i will sell them and get the cvrs after i sell the firebird.

The cvr 15's are cheap. Do a couple 15's in 4-4.5 cubes tuned low 30's in that Jeep. You'll thank me later.
