oh yeah i know all this, i just dont know man, its hard, i dont want to keep the car i have, and i dont know how long ill have it, thats why i dont wanna waste any money on electrical upgrades or sound deaden er untill im sure

well the only thing that might not work if you get a new car is a ho alt, even then you can sell it a recoupe some of your $$

true i guess, right now im having electrical problems anyway...the lights in my dash are alot dimmer/yellower then they used to be. and the battery gauge is reading below the little battery symbol which it used to read in the middle of it, this is even after a new battery, they tested something at advanced and it came back that at idle i was getting like 13.7 volts, but remember this was with all my ish on inside the car such as amps and head unit, not bumpin or anything just powered on. its weird, plus now when the sub hits for longer than 10 seconds the battery light comes on and the HU cuts out...then back on after i turn the volume down...its droppin the voltage to like 10.9-11.2 but at idle with nothing playing its at 13.6-7 im thinkin its the alt not putting out the amperage it used to..

If the 18's cone advantage is what you are going for, get the 18's. If you want to run a smaller box, get the 12's. There is no law that says you have to run rms of the driver. There are plenty of people that are very happy with their systems with 2/3 or even 1/2 the ratted power.

truth/\ I ran 2 18" Q's in about 10^3ft on an orion 2500D and loved it! Switched to btl's because i wanted a louder system and now im going right back to the Q's. Planning on 4 18"s. Nothing matches there SQ and loudness.

wanna trade? i have a Fi Q 18 w/BP D2 powered by an saz 3k @ 1 ohm

everyone might think im crazy for doing it, but it has handled it very well without coil stink or mechanical stress

it hammers the lows but i want higher numbers with one 18'' setup
