I'm going to be running 4 Signature 12"s ported and the most I can muster up for each is 1.25 cubes ported to 33Hz with 500w to each. Is this going to be sufficient air space for them to function properly? I don't think it'll be a problem, just asking. I know more would be better, but that's not going to happen unfortunately.

I thought about running 3 as well. That would wire down to 2.6ohms right (subs are D4)? That's not going to give me shit for power out of my 3000. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i think he already has the 4 d4 rlps
Then yes, 2.6 ohms. Even if he had 4 he'd only get down to 2 ohms, not much of a difference on the amp.

I'd definitely run 3 and make the box more efficient per sub and you'll likely end up with better overall frequency response and less drain on electrical with possibly louder bass too, if things are done correctly.

why not just run all 4 sealed as I "assume" SPL isn't the main goal here otherwise you'd go with other subs. Should have solid output sealed with 4 of them and very good SQ...
SPL is an issue, or more like SQL. You'd be surprised at the output SS can do. I've hit high 40's with 2 15"s. And even touched 50 twice. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I do know what I'm doing, and what's right & wrong. I just like to pick peoples brains before I make a final decisions. Brain storming is good for ideas, lol. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I ran 2 15's ported in numerous boxes with different tuning, so I'm pretty familair with them also. Solid subs for sure, but output was lacking in my trunk set up.

Well it's only MDF, so do 4 sealed first and if that's not enough try 3 ported...

This is sound thinking and definitely the best option.
